Transition Information
Sierra Lobo recognizes that contract transition can be stressful for employees. The transition resource is intended to centralize practical information, introduce employees to SLI, and create a communication path between employees and the company during phase-in.
Founded in 1993, Sierra Lobo has grown from its early test and evaluation work into a broader engineering services company supporting NASA, the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and private industry. The company points to its customer-service focus, innovation, growth, and risk management as foundations for the TFOME III transition.
Frequently Asked Questions
What will happen with current leave balances?
For exempt employees, leave balances can transfer to the new employer. For SCA employees, current leave balances must be paid out. Employees will maintain their seniority or service date and begin accruing time. Previously approved leave can still be taken, but it will need to be entered into Sierra Lobo's timekeeping system for record keeping.
When will employees learn more about benefits?
Sierra Lobo expects to hold informational insurance meetings as the transition approaches. These meetings are normally announced about a month before the official contract transition date.
What if I do not have a resume?
Please create one and upload it through the resume link provided for the transition.
Will there be a pay increase at the beginning of the contract?
Employees will be hired at their current salary. Sierra Lobo will ask employees to submit a paystub to HR so payroll can be set up correctly.
Will every employee receive a notice from Sierra Lobo?
All employees will receive communication from the employer that their role is assigned to for TFOME III.
