August 31, 2011 – Hampton City, Virginia, Mayor Molly Joseph Ward was on hand to help Sierra Lobo, Inc. open their new Hampton office located in the Hampton Roads Technology Center. The Ribbon Cutting event was hosted by the At the luncheon event, attendees toured the new offices and viewed NIA’s Technology Showcase.
“I’m extremely happy to be here today to meet so many people important to NASA, the City of Hampton, and to Sierra Lobo,” said Daniel Lowe, Sierra Lobo’s Chief Operations Officer, who performed the ribbon cutting with Mayor Ward. “We look forward to continuing our service to the Government and the Hampton community with our new office and expanded presence.”
“We have been working at Langley Research Center for many years, and believe we have additional high tech skills and resources to contribute to NASA that will help them continue advancing their critical missions,” said George Satornino, Sierra Lobo’s Chief Executive Officer.
The event drew members from NASA and from many local businesses and professional organizations.
Sierra Lobo is a provider of engineering and technical services that support NASA and DoD research and technology development efforts. It was founded in Fremont, Ohio in 1993 and today employs approximately 500 people in seven states, including: Ohio, Alabama, California, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia. They have a testing facility and operations office in Milan, Ohio.
