  • 12/15/2022 – All offer letters have been sent out to incumbent METTS 2 employees that are transitioning to Sierra Lobo as part of METTS 3. If you have not received an offer letter, please contact the HR department right away. If you have received your offer letter, please sign and return as soon as possible.

    After we receive your signed offer letter, you will receive a link from Paycor that will allow you to securely complete your new hire paperwork. Please complete this as soon as possible. We cannot set you up for benefit enrollment until this Paycor step is complete.

    For those people that have returned their signed offer letters, AND completed your new hire paperwork in Paycor, we will begin sending out links on Monday for you to enroll in your insurance benefits. These links will be sent to the personal e-mail address that we have on file for you.

  • 12/6/2022 – Benefit Informational Meetings will be held on Tuesday December 13th and Wednesday December 14th at noon central time. These sessions will contain the same information, so please choose the session that bests fits your schedule. Meetings will be held virtually and presented by our insurance broker. Invitations will be sent to your e-mail addresses during the week of December 5th.

Yes, all employees will be given the opportunity to have a phone call and discuss their position.

  1. Current leave balances will be paid out by your current employer.
  2. Employees will maintain their seniority or service dates, and will transition over to Sierra Lobo’s leave accruals
  3. If you have current approved leave, you will be able to take it. You will just need to enter it into the new timekeeping system for record keeping purposes

Yes, all employees will maintain their current seniority.

Yes, there will be wage determined positions on METTS 3.

Sierra Lobo offers up to 12 weeks of Family Medical Leave, that can be used for the birth, or adoption of a child, or for the placement of a child through foster care.

a. Union members will maintain the current leave structure that is defined in the CBA.

b. Non-union members will accrue Paid Time Off (PTO), using their current service dates:

  • 0-4 years of service = 104 annual hours of PTO
  • 5-14 years of service = 144 annual hours of PTO
  • 15+ years of service = 184 annual hours of PTO

c. If there are part time non-union employees, they will receive sick time instead of PTO.

  • Will accrue up to 56 hours of paid sick leave per year

Yes, Sierra Lobo offers up to $10,000 of tuition reimbursement per semester.

We will be announcing a TEAMS phone call with our insurance broker in the near future.

  1. We will begin the onboarding process as soon as employees sign their offer letters. We are hoping to begin sending out offer letters by mid-December.
  2. We anticipate employees to start enrolling in benefits beginning mid December.

These employees will be included in phase in. We will work with them and their department regarding their return to work.

Yes, all employees that are transitioning will receive an offer letter

SLI will reimburse up to $10,000 per semester of college courses. Employees are eligible after 6 months of employment.

All employees are going to be hired at their current salary.

Hello Marshall Space Flight Center  team members, and welcome to the Sierra Lobo METTS 3 incumbent employee site!

We understand that contract transition can be a stressful time for employees, and our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for you. The purpose of this site is to begin sharing relevant information for the transition, to begin to share information about SLI for you, as well as to open a portal of communication between employees and Sierra Lobo.

Sierra Lobo, Inc. incorporated in 1993 and won our first contract in 1994. The founders serve as CEO and COO today. Their backgrounds include engineering in the oil and gas industry, naval nuclear operations, and aerospace testing. That, combined with their interests in developing technology to better human kind, laid the foundation for their vision and focus on customer service excellence, innovation, growth, and risk management. SLI has exhibited growth throughout their history expanding from test and evaluation to engineering services work. Customers include the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, and private industry. Sierra Lobo has a proud history of excellence supported by awards and recognitions such as receiving two of NASA’s George M. Low awards.

  • No, these are voluntary informational meetings to help employees learn more about all of the benefits offered by Sierra Lobo, including the 401(k)

  • We will have our insurance broker, and 401(k) financial advisors in person at the meeting to present information, and answer any and all questions

  • No. The presentation should take less than an hour. We wanted to add extra time, in case people had questions.

    • If someone wants to come, but cannot come until part way through the meeting, we encourage that person to attend as they are able

  • The insurance broker and financial advisors will be able to break off and provide individual assistance during this time as well

  • No. We will not be actually enrolling in benefits during this time slot

  • This meeting is intended to be informational regarding the plans, and how enrollment will work

  • These meetings are specific to Sierra Lobo plans and enrollments
