NASA Awards Contracts for Aerospace Testing and Facilities Operations

NASA has awarded a contract to Jacobs Technology Inc. of Tullahoma, Tennessee, to provide the agency’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, California with support services for ground-based aerospace test facilities at the center. Sierra Lobo, Inc. is a significant subcontractor to Jacobs on ATOM-4 and looks forward to continuing our support on ATOM-5.

Sierra Lobo Awarded NASA WSTF Test Evaluation and Support Team 3 (TEST3) Contract

NASA has awarded a five-year contract to Sierra Lobo Inc. of Fremont, Ohio, for test and operations support at the agency’s White Sands Test Facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico. TEST3 is a hybrid indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-award-fee and firm-fixed-price task orders. The period of performance is from Oct. 1, 2021, through Sept. 30, 2026. The maximum value is $400 million.

Sierra Lobo Contributes to the Mars 2020 MOXIE Instrument

Sierra Lobo congratulates NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) on the successful demonstration of the Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment (MOXIE) instrument on the surface of Mars. MOXIE converted some the Mars atmosphere into oxygen — this is a key element in the pursuit of future missions involving human astronauts and their return vehicles.
