Sierra Lobo Awarded the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory $42M RTES II Contract

U.S. Department of Defense Contract News Release - November 14, 2022

Sierra Lobo Inc., Fremont, Ohio, has been awarded a $42,009,032 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for rocket technology engineering services. This contract provides for on-site advisory and assistance services with the capability to support research and development of rocket propulsion components and systems of systems. Work will be performed at Edwards Air Force Base, California, and is expected to be completed Jan. 31, 2029. This award is the result of a competitive task order One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services award. Fiscal year 2023 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $471,400 are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Test Center, Edwards AFB, California, is the contracting activity (FA9300-23-F-6001).
Sierra Lobo provides research and engineering services to support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) under the Rocket Technology Engineering Services (RTES II) contract. This contract is a follow on to the RTES contract that we have held since 2017 and its predecessor, ARES III, which we held from 2012 through 2017.
