Safety, Health, and Environmental

Safety is core value to SLI, from the top of the Company down to the individual worker. Since our inception Sierra Lobo, Inc. employees have been involved with hazardous operations, and design, construction, and commissioning of complex, hazardous process systems.

Sierra Lobo Safety, Health, and Environmental Goals and Objectives:

  • Instill safety as a “value” never to be compromised in all aspects of the organization
  • Zero lost time injuries
  • Illness/injury rates well below national average for applicable NAICS Codes
  • No breaches of environmental compliance
  • No damage to facilities or equipment resulting from violation of SH&E requirements or willful neglect

Sierra Lobo, Inc. Technology Development and Engineering Center (TDEC) in Northern, Ohio, which designs, builds, commissions, and operates hazardous complex systems, took on the requirements and the inherent values of the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) starting back in 2007. We have maintained this certification ever since. It is a program administrated by the Bureau of Workman’s Compensation for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Office (OSHA) and is the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) equivalent for small businesses. To be a member of this organization, a company must pass separate audits from both an Industrial Safety Inspector and an Industrial Hygienist Inspector where they subject your entire work operation to audit and visual inspection against fifty eight (58) OSHA requirements.

Quality Management

As a small company, our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement led us to implement a Quality Management System (QMS) within the structure of ISO 9001. Initially certified in 2003 by NQA-USA, we became one of the first companies to be certified to the revised ISO 9001:2008 standard in January of 2009. Exceeding beyond minimum requirements, our mature Quality Program has implemented the more stringent criteria of the AS9100 Aerospace standard, achieving registration in June of 2009. Our QMS is currently registered to AS9100D. Our scope, as described in the registration statement, reads:
